This peak overlooks Blessington and Pollaphuca Reservoir. Lugnagun Great and Lugnagun Little are townlands in the parish of Blessington.   Lugnagun is the 635th highest summit in Ireland.

Here lies the mortal remains of ...
by march-fixer  30 Apr 2012 wicklore's poles in the picture of the 14.07.2008 look like the grave markings for Dessie1's triumphal exhibitionism of the 24.09.2010.

This is not the most endearing spot in Wicklow, but a nice one on the way somewhere else. Went here as part of a mountain biking ride lately. Point C is the handiest spot to tackle Lugnagun from, with the added advantage of being able to carry on and summit Sorrel Hill as part of the walk.

Carrig Wood is a place to just do circuit walks with the views over the lakes. Best done on a nice day when the wind is from the north. That way there is plenty of shelter.
