After Tievebaun I headed roughly SSE across desolate moorland for the even more desolate plain that is Gortnagara. Couldn't find anything to call the top so chose a peat hag. It's a long walk from Tievebaun and an even longer one back across the moorland to pick up Truskmore access road where we started the days walk. The most exciting thing about Gortnagara isn't it's "top" but the stone circle and other rock formations near the cliff edge at G779 468 C and G783 467 D which were the only relief to anotherwise arduous trek for a dull top. Purely for the list tickers! Trackback: http://mountainviews.ie/summit/622/comment/4515/
