This peak is on the upland above the steep cliffs of Glenade. Nearby Glenade Lough is one of many Irish lakes reputedly inhabited by a water-monster called the Dobharchú. Gortnagarn is a townland in the parish of Killasnet. Previously Gortnagara in MV.
