Vantage point for the plains of Cork
Short Summary created by jackill,  21 Jan 2012
Park on the saddle W23626 87990 A , a forest entrance with room for 2 or 3 cars, and hop the fence into a hill field. Cross farmland for about a kilometer scattered with glacial deposits, following the fence line to the right. Cross a wire fence as terrain turns to rough mountain covered by brown heather. There is an Iron cross near the summit which was erected in 2000 and expansive views of Cork and Kerry , mountains and plains, bog and grassland run away from you on all sides.
