We grabbed Farraniaragh whilst whizzing round the Ring of Kerry. Parked at V509 607 A just past where the Kerry Way crosses over N70 and there is a loop in the road with views NW across Ballinskelligs Bay, before the main car park at the top of the col with all the coaches and the big statue of Herself. Followed the Kerry Way S briefly, over the style before turning left and following the obvious sheep tracks upwards onto the ridge. This is nice and gentle going most of the way up with fantastic views out to the Skelligs and S to Darrynane Bay. The last 100m or so are a bit steeper but it's easy going on a grassy slope. None of the usual rugged stuff with holes, rocks and thick heather. The top is a bit disappointing, flat and boggy with a single fence post seemingly marking the summit. About an hour up, less down.
