In his pioneering article on the place-names of North Wicklow and South Dublin mentioned in the tale Togail Bruidne Da Derga (JRSAI lxv, 1935), Eoin Mac Néill had some difficulty with the name Ó Cualann, for which he suggested the meaning 'sheep of Cu   Great Sugar Loaf is the 461st highest summit in Ireland.

Family Fun
by Skyebabyisback  31 Mar 2012 Great afternoon adventure with the kid, nice easy walk to the top just a bit tricky but manageable climb onto the summit especially for the younger kids. Highly recommend this to start you off..
