The name Fear Bréige is commonly applied to a rock or heap of stones resembling a man.   Farbreaga is the 508th highest place in Ireland. Farbreaga is the most westerly summit in the Knockmealdown Mountains area.

Farbreaga is the westernmost of the Knockmealdown Mountains. Claude Wall said of this area “Farbreaga (1,706) and Knockshanahullion (2,153) are isolated wet masses to the west”. It wasn’t so wet on this fine day in mid February as you can see from the view of the cairn on Farbreaga and the distant Knockshanahullion. Trackback: http://mountainviews.ie/summit/415/comment/322/
