I struck for Galtybeg from the car park about 1/4 mile before the Youth Hostel R922-209 A forest path makes the first 2k very easy. When it turns to the right leave it and go straight ahead then cross the fence and cross the stream twice. I walked pretty much straight for the sumit after crossing the streams. Took the steeper asent to the sumit to avoid the northen wind. Was very tempted standing on the ridge to push on to Galtymore but unfotunately time was against me.Followed the same route down and had a very enjoyable day.Quite easy and very accesable-recommend for beginners!
