The association with Fionn Mac Cumhaill is reinforced by the fact that Seefin Mountain overlooks a valley named after his son: Glenosheen (Ir. Gleann Oisín, 'valley of Oisín').   Seefin Mountain W Top is the highest mountain in the Ballyhoura Mountains area and the 476th highest in Ireland.

You can leave the compass in the rucksack when you're bagging these two (Seefin and Long Mountain). Allow about two hours if coming up the track from R 662 169 A where you can park about 50 metres down the road on a grassy verge. Trackback: http://mountainviews.ie/summit/397/comment/2739/
