There is a noticeable drop off Coomacloghane to its western col. Its a drop from 599m to about 500m with a rise then to 584m to get back on the circuit. As you make this journey you see Lackawee up ahead to the west and the dark waters of Glenbeg Lough. But in the distance there's the Atlantic ocean, and to the left there's the imminent Eskatarriff, and it's all SO satisfying. One of the routes up to Coomacloghane is from the NW tip of the lake over the rise on the right of the photo. Trackback: http://mountainviews.ie/summit/279/comment/17653/
