by simon3  12 Dec 2005 Baurtregaum Far NE (BFNE) has a fine view over Tralee and also into the valley of the Curraheen River which flows NE into the sea. You can also see the Barnanageehy area, a view that lacks charisma. One way of reaching BFNE is from the informal parking just south of Derrymore Bridge (see my comment about Gearhane). Walk along the Dingle Way until you reach the Derryquay River at the bridge about Q760 105 (Point A). Then head SE for the summit over steep rough heather.

Our view shows the connecting ridge to BFNE from the slopes of Baurtregaum NE, that is the SW. Beyond the mountain are the southern outskirts of Tralee.
Point A: Q760 105
