A view to a hill!
by Dessie1  18 May 2012 Climbed Keadeen on 11-5-12.Parked at Dwyer/McAllister Cottage car park which has enough room for 6-8 cars easily at point S96611 91266 (Point C) and walked roughly 200m NW back up the roadway to a gate at point S96370 91455 (Point D).Follow track over a few fences for about 300m until the track forks left and right.Take the right track and follow the switchbacks all the way up through the forest until it reaches the clearing. From there (S95617 90306 (Point E)) it is a steep enough 1km slog SW uphill to the summit (S95395 89766 (Point F))which contains a large cairn and a trig pillar located a few metres away.Spectacularly expansive 360 deg views of the Wicklow mountains await(Weather permitting!)
