Fascinating rocky landscape
Short Summary created by Colin Murphy,  22 Jun 2015
The simplest approach to this Arderin Beg is from the north. There is room for several cars to park at V755 578 A A, on the Beara Way. Continue along the track through the woods for about 500m to V750 576 B B, where you can access the open hillside. The ascent to the SSW is gentle at first but becomes increasingly steep, although the terrain is firm - mostly short grass and rocks. You will have to negotiate around many impressive, giant slabs of rock as you ascend, reaching the north top in about 2 hours. The south top is 350m further to the SSW, marked by a distinct rocky pinnacle surrounded by short grass. Trackback: http://mountainviews.ie/summit/1476/comment/18104/
