Browsing online maps, it appears that there is a road that goes directly to the top of Garravagh North Top. I initially tried to access this way, but found the way gated and signed as private property. I knocked on door of the cottage right at the gate, but nobody was home.

I ended up heading around to the West side of Garravagh along R618 where the flank of the mountain is completely forested. There were no 'private property' or 'no trespassing' signs, so I tossed my bicycle in the bushes and had myself a leisurely stroll to the top.

The top has been very recently clearcut and the land significantly disturbed as a result. I stood on the highest tree stump and called it a successful summit. Trackback: http://mountainviews.ie/summit/1334/comment/16071/
