Lonely top.
by paddyhillsbagger  14 Apr 2014
Despite only being a 5 minute drive out of Ballaghaderreen, Bockagh Hill has an air of desolation and loneliness about it. There were no tracks to the cross made out of railway lines and the ground was very uneven, boggy and full of heather (which would be tough in growing season). I don't think this cross is lit up at night!
Follow Fergalh's route to the top. Trackback: http://mountainviews.ie/summit/1253/comment/16002/

Head for the cross....
by Fergalh  1 Mar 2014
If coming from east take a right hand turn in Ballaghhadreen, than take second left. At 'Y' junction turn left proceed through the roadworks for the bypass and continue on past the forest (and Telecommunications mast). There is a gate just after forest on right hand side (M 60549 98584 A). Start here and cross into field the top is visible shortly as there is a large cross and trig pillar there.

Always ask landowner permission to cross land, never ever damage fences and beware of livestock. Trackback: http://mountainviews.ie/summit/1253/comment/15860/
