Doubtless in future times stirring tales will be told by great orators about the first MV ascent of Mullaghmeash Hill...for now you'll have to make do with how the dog and I clambered over a gate at (622073 A) into the green field pictured and plodded up the facing convex slope to the summit area. The highest point may or may not be on the far side of a fence you meet...limited clomping around should satisfy your conscience that you've trodden it. The view is fairly open to the east (towards and past Dungiven) but the most conspicuous sight is the large clutch of wind turbines at Altahullion.

There are no obvious parking spaces along the road here, but squeezing tightly onto the verge should allow others past. Trackback: http://mountainviews.ie/summit/1219/comment/15896/
