Great panorama for little effort
by march-fixer  31 May 2013
We picked up the track to Camaderry on the E side of Turlough Hill and followed it all the way SE to the top of Camaderry. While an enjoyable summit, it does not give the same enjoyment as the more easterly top. We therefore carried on SE along the established path to T09041 97337 N where there is a little cairn on the top of '667'. Do walk a little further east so as to enjoy the near 360 degree panorama that can be seen from the NW clockwise to E and right around to the SW. There is not to much evidence of errosion and thankfully little rubbish!

Rather than retrace our steps back to Turlough Hill we decided to descend down across the ENE face of Camaderry and then 'drop down' to Lough Nahanagan. There is a beautiful view T08463 98725 O of the lake from this high vantage point, with the rain falling, making it worth the while in selecting this route (See Track No. 1450).
