ITM: 499055 582035,   GPS IDs, 6 char: GlncTp, 10 char: GlncplTop
Bedrock type: Green sandstone & purple siltstone, (Glenflesk Chloritic Sandstone Formation)

This peak is on the ridge separating the Devil's Punchbowl from Lough Erhogh and the Horses Glen.   Glencappul Top is the 115th highest summit in Ireland.

Glencappul Top is the highest point of a spur leading east from Mangerton North Top (MNT). According to my measurements with a GPS it is only 13.7m above the col to MNT so may not be included in future lists. However, that said, it is a great vantage point to see into the Horses Glen/ Glencappul valleys and the western side of Stoompa.
