Cupidstown Hill is the highest point in Co. Kildare. However, it is on the fringes of the Dublin Mountains and is dwarfed by other nearby hills such as Seefingan and Kippure, both on the Dublin/Wicklow county boundary. It is therefore less well known   Cupidstown Hill is the 873rd highest summit in Ireland. Cupidstown Hill is the highest point in county Kildare.

Hidden Treasure
by march-fixer  20 Apr 2012 For such a forlorn entrance there is a little gem to be found at the end, without any effort. A lot of the obvious detritus has been removed, but there is still much hidden a few feet in off the track. As mentioned in previous comments, this is a lonely cousin to the other high-points. There is little evidence of visitors except at the fence near the trig-point.
The views from the field boundary out over the Plains of Kildare on a nice day are just as stunning as on some of the higher peaks. Well worth a visit in my view.
