Part of the screen to change summit information. (Expand pics)
New feature: Propose Changes to Summits.
Context of comment:Let's suppose you have visited a hill and realised that the name(s) MountainViews has for it could be improved, or the grid reference, or the height, or we have the county wrong or whatever.
Now there is an easy way for your to propose a change.
Message:There will now be a button "Propose Place Database Change" for each summit (you need to be logged in). Click on this and you can then choose which sort of data you want to change such as "Names" or "Geography".

It is also possible to propose a new summit.
.
Additional points:Click on your choice and enter proposed changes or additions. You only need to enter something in a field where you want to make a change.

Then click "Save proposal"

Your proposal will be stored for later consideration by a site administrator.
If you are making a change you can also click on "Check proposal" which looks at the fields and will warn you if there are errors. For example, if you were to enter a new name for a summit then this will remind you that you also need to tell the system what language your new name is in (English or Gaeilge)

Bug reports and suggestions.
As usual with new code there will be bugs and you may have suggestions. Let us know on the forum here or email group@mountainviews.ie

Tonelagee NE Top: Barely recognisable as a separate top
Colin Murphy 14 hours ago.
This is a handy one to bag on the way to Tonelagee, but it is so nondescript that many a walker has by-passed it without realising it is a top in itself. The summit is a broad, grassy area with no...
