Experimental User Interface Changes.
Context of comment:MountainViews addresses various communities from the experienced frequently visiting member to the far more numerous occasional or first time user.

a. In an effort to make the website more self explanatory we have put in several yellow explanatory "tooltips" which explain what a particular field means or will do.

b. There's an awful lot of data on the website as a result of our success in attracting contributions. This is great. However it can be overwhelming making the summit page, for example, appear crowded and over technical. In an effort to reduce this impression, often an initial reaction, we have modified page behaviour so that some parts of the page are visible with reduced opacity, that is they appear in grey type. On moving the mouse over these parts, the opacity is brought up to full strength.

Suggestions are welcome from occasional users and experienced users. If you are a professional webdesign person, we will certainly listen to your suggestions also. Put comments up in this forum or email them to group@mountainviews.ie

We ask you to try these altered features for a few sessions before passing judgement. It may take a while to get this right. Everything that has been done is reversible

Westaston Hill: The top?

I think the highest point is likely about 175 metres in a WSW direction from the mast. I'm judging this from aerial photography and DTM which shows a rocky outcrop in a small forest clearing. DTM ...

Might be worth adding that Ballymoyle Hill might be more appropriate name for this height. Called that in Coillte records. Whilst Barranisky is spelt thus on OS six inch maps, note that Hall Nevil...
