Re Finding Tracks, Text Method
Context of comment:Yes, the track sharing has considerably exceeded my expectations with over 260 now added.
There needs to be a method to find tracks by area, as you say. I hope to do this initially by showing the start all of the tracks for an area on the map, with further methods if this is not sufficient.
Message:Indeed there also needs to be a link between summit info and tracks that go over them as an additional way of finding tracks. Also a method of highlighting one or two particular tracks in a mountain comment or short summary. I am working on all of this and hope to have it operational this summer.
Additional points:In the meanwhile you can do the following to find all the tracks in a mountain area. If you go to the track reporting page and click on "For further search criteria, click here" then enter say "Twelve Bens" as the word or phrase in description, you will get a list of the tracks starting in the Twelve Bens. As of today, there are 7 tracks for the Twelve Bens.

You can use this "freetext search" to narrow the results returned using almost any text word that appears in the description, headings etc. So you could search for tracks from a person, say "wicklore" or a summit name such as "Ben Goram" or indeed any word in the text such as "challenging". If you used two words such as "challenging granite" you will get tracks that have either the word challenging or granite or both.

Coolcurtoga: Don't be put off, it's not that bad

Climbed this today, it looks awful from the road, but once you're on the slope it's not that bad. There is the odd ankle twisting hole, but it's fairly easy to navigate the shelves to the top. Abo...

Barraboy Mtn Far E Top: Follow the edge of Lough Nagarriva.

Access is best from the west (Barraboy) or east (Priests Leap). It's a pretty boggy rocky walk from either and be warned the going between this top and the edge of the main Barraboy ridge is fairl...
