Re finding other members
Context of comment:Discussion re member lists. Come on lads .. let's get some community type thinking into this. Don't propose what you want for idle curiousity (although I agree with Wicklore that some of the names are seriously funny). This is a social network linking walkers. How does having a public list of members nicknames help above the existing information about active members?
Message:Remember. Real names are stored by the site but only for the people ( a small minority) that supply them and authorise their use. Email addresses we don't give out. So the list would consist of a long collection of some 15000 nicknames mostly linked to blank user information since most users don't actually contribute. All it would add is access to inactive members.

Conversely and unfortunately there is one category of person or more likely robot that could benefit from this and that is automated spammers. Other sites that I manage have been systematically attacked by these. Suddenly you find that some criminal has posted 30000 messages in a week using an automated tool which can take weeks to fix.

There needs to be access for moderators however this wasn't the thrust of the discussion.

Might be worth adding that Ballymoyle Hill might be more appropriate name for this height. Called that in Coillte records. Whilst Barranisky is spelt thus on OS six inch maps, note that Hall Nevil...
