Quo Did This?
Padodes has a General Forum post of 19/09 "Quo Vadis" which shows a similar photo to this one of the causeway that has been built above Knockree on the Wicklow Way. It truly is a wonder as it meanders up (or down) hill. Who built it and how? Some of the stones and rocks are massive, and it is quite wide too. Someone put a lot of hard work into it. I noticed that arrows of red paint have been added to some of the stones, giving direction to those who can't follow this highland highway. Sadly some of the paint accidentally splashed on the little yellow man on a Wicklow Way marker post. (Actually it accidentally splashed on both little yellow men on each side of the post, nearly rendering them completely covered) Bad luck for them as the paint didn't accidentally splash anywhere else as far as i could see.

Robber's Pass Hill: Minor heathery lump. Overcivilised and underwhelming.

This oddly named hill is more a very minor heathery bump incorporated into the system of tracks laid out by the Wicklow Mountains National Park. It can be reached from any of the western car-parks...
