UPDATE MR search for missing plane
Update.
The light aircraft which went missing yesterday has been located during this morning's search by Mountain Rescue personnel on the ground.

Hasty parties (rapid response mountain rescue units) were sent into the search area of Corriebracks - Lobawn - Sugarloaf this morning and one of those teams located the missing aircraft at approximately 9.30am.

The Coastguard, members of the Gardai and paramedics are also now on scene.

Updates will follow.

This evening, Saturday 25th October at 21:50 hours, The Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team and Dublin/Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team requested to aid in the search for an aircraft which was last seen over the Wicklow Mountains at approximately 12:30 this afternoon.

Mountain Rescue personnel are currently working with the Coastguard in an effort to finalise the ground search area whilst Mountain Rescue teams are already searching likely forestry tracks in the Wicklow Mountains.

A full-scale search for the aircraft and its 4 occupants will begin at first light.
