The caves of Keshcorran
UTV Ireland recently started a new series called ‘Wild Ireland’, which see Christine Bleakley follow the 1500 mile Atlantic Way. The television series will see the former One Show host drive, climb, kayak and swim her way along the world’s longest continuous coastal route – Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.
Christine said:

“Getting to visit places like the Keshcorran Caves in Sligo, stunning Connemara and the historic slate quarry in Valentia that roofed the Houses of Parliament has been fascinating and it’s all on our doorstep”.

The show airs on Wednesdays at 8pm. I coincidentally recently visited Keshcorran myself, and visited the magnificent caves there as a part of my route to the summit. They really are well worth seeing as part of an interesting route. You can see my original comment on Keshcorran here: http://mountainviews.ie/summit/887/comment/17930/ mtn_ct17930

Robber's Pass Hill: Minor heathery lump. Overcivilised and underwhelming.

This oddly named hill is more a very minor heathery bump incorporated into the system of tracks laid out by the Wicklow Mountains National Park. It can be reached from any of the western car-parks...

Croaghmoyle: Easy walk up to great views

Low lying cloud/mist/fog discouraged me from putting the effort into going up Nephin today. On the way home I parked at the start of the Croaghmoyle service road and followed it past a wind turbin...
