Walk on Friday 29th?
If anyone else is interested, as a recently infected 'peak-bagger' I want to do the northern ridge in the Comeraghs, the peaks Knocksheegowna and Knockanaffrin. I will do this on Friday 29th August. I aim to do a shorter version of Track 2338 by Gerry McVeigh, using his start point at the access to Glenpatrick Woods (S28467 18025). See also www.walkingwaterford.com/rathgormackwalks/title,29019,en.html for first part. It looks like a nice afternoon walk. I aim to head off from there at 1.30pm and estimate 3-4 hours depending on enthusiasm, weather etc. if anyone fancies joining me - contact geohappy1@gmail.com. I am staying in Cahir Friday night. By the way, the satellite image on www.bing.com/maps/ is excellent for the Comeraghs.

Westaston Hill: The top?

I think the highest point is likely about 175 metres in a WSW direction from the mast. I'm judging this from aerial photography and DTM which shows a rocky outcrop in a small forest clearing. DTM ...
