Our brother Trailtrekker is planning a 24 hour attack on the MountainViews Leinster county tops.
A wonderful plan. A tantalising objective. And laurels for this our new hero.
There is much to applaud this good website and in particular when members employ blood and guts on an objective. That is to say that chat is cheap - ditto doing the talk.
Doing the walk on the other hand is what it has to be about - and Trailtrekker is up for it.
Challenge walking in any guise takes the noble if ponderous habit of hillkwalking to a different place - physically different, spiritually different: the sky is bluer, the rocks are sharper, the drop is blacker. And the rewards are infinite
I would be keen that we support him in whatever way possible. So let him tell us what he needs - food and water at particular points, transport A to B, accommodation, or just us there for encouragement.
Let's get behind him. All hail the trail.
