SUMMIT NOT QUITE RIGHT
"Faux" if you like Captain but controversy it seems to be. Not incidentally with me. But walks like a duck.
Which brings me to other ducks and walking.
Is it key to this intercourse, that the MountainViews' invention, "summiteering", is a good thing and "bagging" is a bad thing? I hope that's not the whiff of snobbery I smell ....... yuggh!
If the process of bagging were as impoverished and sterile as some would make out, the baggers amongst us would have hanged themselves long ago.
There is absolutely no difference between MountainViews summiteering and old-fashioned bagging; it is the task of ticking off summits. We can call it what we like, but duck it is. Quack.
Both can be as dull, unrewarding or as vitally stimulating as we like. After all it is in our gift to make them that - whatever someone else calls it.
Sumiteering/bagging. Duck quack. Quack duck.

Robber's Pass Hill: Minor heathery lump. Overcivilised and underwhelming.
