What I use myself is a device called Satmap. met a nice gentleman whilst doing the Coomloughra horseshoe last June. he had his for years and and got good value from it, after sales service etc excellent. I was so impressed with it I bought one myself. Go online and put in satmap and away you go. I've used it all year and would'nt go without it now. I also bought a memory card with every OS map for Ireland included to go with it. Pricy but worth it.
