Upperchurch Walking Festival
The wonderful Upperchurch Walking Festival is on this weekend of 8-10th November. Upperchurch is a small village about 8 miles from Thurles, Co Tipperary. The 'church' is a model of successful rural development in an otherwise unremarkable area. This weekend sees the opening of a new indoor climbing wall. As well as 7 walks, there is a choice of 3 cycles. There will also be music, set dancing and plenty of hot food for hungry hikers. Anyone involved in organising a walking festival should try to make it along and see how it should really be done. More details on www.upperchurch.ie
