...I agree Bleck, but still stuck in that how many, how far, how fast phase cos I consider myself new to this trekking lifestyle and still striding out. When I have covered more of the ranges I think there will be a natural tendency to slow down and smell the roses along the way and just not be so damn competitive about it. I'll get it out of my system yet!

On an aside, was reading a running forum this morning where people were giving out about a half marathon last weekend in Cork that was "out" by 100 metres. Clearly products of this Garmin age, all I could think was (i) I bet Emile Zatopek ran a few in his time that were out a few metres and (ii) these people sorely need a dose of Bleck Cra! We live in the selfie era!
