Robert Dowds Access to the Countryside Bill -
Robert Dowds a Labour TD has introduced a private members bill intended to create access lands for recreational use in the Republic of Ireland.

This bill is located here:
http://www.oireachtas.ie/viewdoc.asp?DocID=23635&&CatID=59

Here is a message that came from Robert:
Just a quick note to let you know that the Access to the Countryside Bill 2013 was published last week and has been selected for debate in the Dáil on Friday, 14th June, at 10.30am. This is quite a historic feat in and of itself, as Ruairí's Bill of 2007 never got to the floor of the Dáil.

As you can imagine, this will generate quite a bit of interest in the media next week. ...

I have enclosed the copy of the Bill as initiated in the Dáil. Although I have taken many of your suggestions for amendments to the Bill on board, I have decided to wait until committee stage to put them in. It is more important to get the principle accepted at second stage than to get into nitty gritty.
