Search for missing walker ends well
Both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked today to search for a man who went overdue after starting out on a 3 day hike on Sunday. The man started out from Black Hill with his route taking him all the way to Glenmalure. He was due to meet up with his friends at 2.00pm yesterday but when he failed to show up concerned family members contacted the Gardai. Both MR Teams formed a search plan but before a full scale search began the man was located safe and well by members of An Garda Siochana and both teams were stood down.We would like to thank all agencies involved including the Gardai, the Coastguard and National Parks and Wildlife Service.
