Shelter on Bangor Trail
Sixteen Mountain Meitheal Volunteers over the week commencing 8th July
2012 built a new Mountain Shelter on the Bangor Trail near Lough Aroher in
Co. Mayo. Working as a very dedicated group they completed the project in
magnificent fashion and a testimony to their effort as Volunteers. The
Shelter and path repair on site was completed to celebrate 10 Years of
Mountain Meitheal,s work of giving back to the uplands in Ireland, an
environment which many people enjoy great benefit from but is increasing
under much pressure from increased footfall.
