Islands of Adventure 2?
It's been approaching 12 months since a group of intrepid MVers braved the Atlantic to scale the heights of two offshore islands in a summit bagging quest. The day, brilliantly organised by hardcore island summit bagger, Wicklore, in conjunction with Birdwatch Ireland, was absolutely fantastic and I have been wondering whether there would be any interest in running a similar trip this year? This is all very weather dependent, as conditions have to be calm enough to set sail, but as there are many island peaks that aren't really 'doable' without pooling resources, I was wondering whether there is sufficient interest in running another trip this year to bag some island summits off the Kerry coast? We'd be probably looking at about 80-100 euro a head, 10-12 people required. Before taking this any further, who would be keen in participating in Islands of Adventure 2? And for those who missed last year's unmissable island odyssey, you can catch up with our exploits at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVKSsjK3K3E&feature=channel&list=UL
