Connor, I'm one of the three who's logged an ascent of this top...it's splendid wild country, but a bit 'Bluestacks Lite' and there's no way it's one of Ireland's top 100...strewth, it's not even one of the top 100 that I've personally climbed. That said, I think the ratings for challenge, view, wilderness etc. aren't a million miles wide of the mark.

(I'm waiting for Simon to embarrass me by saying that I did actually nominate it as one of Ireland's top 100 when I originally rated it...I genuinely can't remember).

Barraboy Mtn Far E Top: Follow the edge of Lough Nagarriva.

Access is best from the west (Barraboy) or east (Priests Leap). It's a pretty boggy rocky walk from either and be warned the going between this top and the edge of the main Barraboy ridge is fairl...

Barraboy Mountain SE Top: Come from the ridge
thomas_g 2 weeks ago.
There is fairly good access from the main Barraboy ridge via a grassy gully which was a bit damp at the bottom. It's possible to traverse east to this top from the Beara way, but it looks like hor...

Brenno, fascinating stuff. I have come to appreciate the sparse beauty of volcanic landscapes in the Canaries and can immediately relate to the rock shapes in your picture. I have an ambition to...

Barraboy Mountain SE Top: A quick run around the possible tops

Barraboy SE is best reached Barraboy top. It's also possible to access from the east but it's a long damp walk from Priests leap. Views are very good south to the sea. Knockboy is clearly visible...

Barraboy Mountain: Fine views over the bay

Parked at V93218 61229 (barely room for one car) beside Beara Way stile. Over the stile and up the track, I left the track and went straight for the peak, but it's probably best to follow the trac...

The summit question

My point was not related to the height at all. As I understood, the point raised was not about the height of the south pinnacle of the Great Skellig, but whether people could consider it bagged o...
