View-the-Base Day for Glen of Imaal MR
The Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team will be holding a 'View-the-Base' Day in the new Mountain Rescue Base in Trooperstown Wood near Laragh, Co. Wicklow. Long/Lat coordinates = 53.013363 (N), - 6.277764 (E)
All are welcome to visit and find out what it looks like and how we'll be using the building. We are very proud as a voluntary body (a registered charity and part of the Irish Red Cross) to have been able to construct and fit out this building to high specifications during a particularly tough financial period. This has only happened because of the many many efforts of the community and public in general. This project has been, by far, the biggest that the Mountain Rescue Team has undertaken and we're very enthusiastic about welcoming visitors.
Please come along between 9.30am and 6.00pm and we'll do our best to give you the grand tour! Light refreshments will also be available.
Parking:There's some parking beside the building, but if this is full please park down in the parking area beside the river (200m from base).
Regards,
Hugh McLindon, PRO
