Annual MountainViews event- 1 week away!
Next Friday, February 17th 2012, MountainViews and the Walkers Association of Ireland are proud to present our annual speaking and awards event. Titled “An Irish Mountain Gathering”, MountainViews members Simon3, Wicklore, Harry Goodman and Captain Vertigo will talk on a variety of hillwalking related topics, including Social GPS, Curiosities of the Military Road, Walking in Ulster & Irish Mountain Videos. We are delighted to be joined by our special guest Eanna Ń Lamhna, botanist, entomologist, and radio & television personality who will give a talk on Wildlife in the Uplands. Eanna is well known for her vast knowledge which she shares in an entertaining and humorous way! The night will conclude with the awarding of certificates to those who have achieved various goals in 2011 such as completing the Irish County High Points.
The event is taking place at the Landsdowne Hotel, 27/29 Pembroke Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. http://www.lansdownehoteldublin.com. The cost of entry is €5 per person. Registration is at 7:30pm with the talks beginning at 8pm sharp. The night concludes at 10:45pm. All are invited to attend - this is a public event of interest to everyone. We would like to invite MountainViews members to come along and enjoy the talks while taking the opportunity to meet fellow MountainViews members. Places are limited and we recommend pre-booking your place by emailing secretary@mountainviews.ie. You can also contact secretary@mountainviews.ie with any queries. Please spread the word. Looking forward to seeing you there! |
