Hill running (fell running)?
Anyone ever try it?

Often wondered what hill or trail running would be like and got my first proper taste of it a few days back when about 20 of us did 12 miles across trails, bogs and streams along the trail that starts at Torc and leads to Peakeen/Knockanaguish. Loved it. Rain, mud, bruises, brilliant. Out of 20, one fell and damaged his jaw and cracked a tooth, one badly sprained his ankle, one keeled into a stream and gor a full bath, but it was all good! Had done a bit of road running over the past year or 2, and every time I slogged it out on tar I would think how much I preferred being up and about in the hills. This experience has completely spoiled road running for me.

Cupidstown Hill: Enhance this with a visit to Oughterard
Bunsen7 a day ago.
Yes, perhaps this is not a very noteworthy hill. Cupidstown and Saggart Hill represent largely forest topped outliers of the Dublin/Wicklow range split from higher summits to the East by the N81. ...

Robber's Pass Hill: Minor heathery lump. Overcivilised and underwhelming.

This oddly named hill is more a very minor heathery bump incorporated into the system of tracks laid out by the Wicklow Mountains National Park. It can be reached from any of the western car-parks...

Croaghmoyle: Easy walk up to great views

Low lying cloud/mist/fog discouraged me from putting the effort into going up Nephin today. On the way home I parked at the start of the Croaghmoyle service road and followed it past a wind turbin...
