Re The proper way to complete a range
Hi Conor. Great to hear that you're about to complete the Dunkerrons. There's a nice feeling of satisfaction to reach the final hill in a range. When I got to the top of Ballycumber Hill in Wicklow in March 2009, it was the last of the 88 hills and mountains in the group for me to climb. Of course there are other hills there too, not currently on MV, and I've walked many of those too. I can't say that I've walked every valley or hiked every trail, but I've enjoyed many years exploring my local range. Like you with the Dunkerrons, I think it's great to have a range that you can become very familiar with, while exploring new areas further away doesn't always allow that level of intimate knowledge.

When I think back to some of my escapades and wanderings in remote parts of the Dublin/Wicklow range I can fully empathise with your feeling that you know every corner of the Dunkerrons. And the delight is that there's always more to see and discover!

Yes, perhaps this is not a very noteworthy hill. Cupidstown and Saggart Hill represent largely forest topped outliers of the Dublin/Wicklow range split from higher summits to the East by the N81. ...

This oddly named hill is more a very minor heathery bump incorporated into the system of tracks laid out by the Wicklow Mountains National Park. It can be reached from any of the western car-parks...
