Revelling in the Reeks
Jackill has indeed come up with a splendid route for the next Scavy walk. We did this in glorious weather, plus Conor's suggested Caher extension, with a descent via the Heavenly Gates to Cronin's Yard where we camped, the day before the Puffin Island trip. The Grade II route from Cruach Mhor over the Big Gun to Knocknapeasta is perhaps the finest and most exhilarating scramble in Ireland and compares favourably with similar routes in the UK.
