Paulocon
Paul, good to see you back.
Because of the 4 roads which cross the Knockmealdowns at various points there is really no summit you can't get to with a 3 hour round trip.
Starting from the western side at R 983 089 gives access to Farbreaga and Knockshanahullion.
Parking at Beal Lough S031 101 gives you Knockalougha,Sugarloaf, Knockmealdown, Knockmoylan.
Parking at S112 083 is useful for Knocknagnauv, Knocknafallia, Knockmeal, Crohan West, Knocksculloge and Knockanask.
Parking at S13175 06653 gives access to Broemountain and Knocknasheega.
The short summary section for each of these hills has detailed "how to" instructions.
Ascending from Beal lough Knockmealdown itself via Sugarloaf and Knockmoylan should take a max. 2.5/3 hours(I assume 10 mins stops and you can ascend to the Sugarloaf in 45/50 minutes as a guide to speed)to return retrace your steps to the lowest point on the knockmealdown/Sugarloaf col then leave the track going north west and pick up a very obvious quad track going downhill. This avoids reclimbing the Sugarloaf if time is limited.
If I can be of anymore help on the items above let me know.
