Bleck Cra
2010-12-11 17:40:15
Kernie and Critchie. There is no man harder to turn away from the things he knows and loves than myself. I expect to see James Fenimore Cooper cross the screen in snow shoes. But the Cra? Would never have entered his intransigent mind – until your recent treatise on the things. Have the Eskimos heard of these?!
My recollections of decades on the hills are nigh on all rose-coloured: even the worst conditions are remembered with innocent fondness. All but a couple of jaunts into the Southern Scottish hills in deep, soft snow. In a nutshell I should rather have the whatsits kebabbed and served to Englishmen than ever repeat those experiences. Snow shoes would have turned them from misery to magic. So thanks for the heads up.
On the subject of misery, your vid is very pretty. About the intro – was that James Caan in the car and did I see Kathy Bates on the skyline?
