Snow shoes
I've read kernowclimber and mcrtchly's recent various posts with great interest about snow shoes and conditions in Wicklow in the snow and watched their fantastic video of an arctic ascent of Lugnaquillia. I looked at the snow shoes they mentioned and they are very steep at a couple of hundred euro a pair. No doubt a great investment though. I was wondering if they are awkward to walk in - do you find the snow shoes catching off each other as you walk? They look huge and I wonder is it difficult to use them?
