Viviparous Lizard
I was delighted to spot an Irish common lizard on Hangman's Hill in Leitrim yesterday. It was the second one I've spotted in Ireland, and I feel all the more priveleged considering many people don't even realise Ireland has a native reptile, let alone ever spotted one. Biology.ie have constant Irish wildlife surveys in progress (including roadkill surveys). It is possible to log sightings of lizards there at http://www.biology.ie/sub-step2.php?m=lizards&s=835. They also seek sightings of toads, slow worms, Kerry slugs, wildflowers, lichens and butterflys to name but a few.

MountainViews member three5four0 reported seeing many lizards in his recent post on Coolcross Hill in Donegal. Perhaps the long run of warm weather has resulted in a bumper year for the lizards?
