Re Bushcraft in Ireland ???
loz - not so sure about Tracking/Trapping/Firemaking/Shelterbuilding in Ireland. Our uplands and wild places could be mostly characterised as "accessible near wilderness". Land is owned in mostly smallish parcels by landowners who often live nearby. Tracking/ Trapping? well there is a shooting fraternity who take rabbits - would trapping be legal? Firemaking? umm not sure what most landowners would think .. probably extremely displeased particularly if an uninvited guest caused damage to a forest or was in contravention of regulations ..

Certainly there are people into backpacking with tents - one club that I know does that is the Wayfarers.
