Diamond Hill, small but great variety.
Now that there is a path up to the top of Diamond Hill after a while it becomes boring but if one goes off the path just above what I call the hellicopter landing pad and veere left onto a faint track one can do some small scrambling right up to the top. Is anyone else aware of this and have they done it to the top this way? I spent four hours last Sunday with friends doing this as opposed to an hour and a half walking up and down the path.It was a great way to spend a leisurely Sunday and finished it off with a basket of chicken wings and chips in the Bards Den in Letterfrack,owned by my old schoolmate Vincent Flannery. Oh and a grand pint of Guinness also.
