Satmap Active 10
As a walking troglodyte now finally thinking of go hi-tech and getting a GPS, am looking for some views and advice. My requirements from a GPS are pretty basic - provide with me with grid refs, height in metres and OSI maps already installed to navigate with. Was in an outdoor shop today and got a demo of the Satmap Active 10 which has all-Ireland map cover - looked very impressive or maybe I was the victim of a good salesman's pitch. Is this a good model for a regular walker in the Irish hills, is it easy to use for a non-techie person- Views welcomed on this and any alternatives that MV people can recommenbd

An easy to access and navigate hill, well worth it for its central position and views in every direction. Park as previously suggested at L8530 4820 and head north east before swinging north. The ...

Though the road near L88003920 appears unfenced you will encounter a fence very soon after leaving the road. This fence extends along this back road, Bothar na Scrathóg and keeps cattle in typical...

Pleasantly surprised by this, could clearly see Lugnaquilla and Croaghanmoira, as well as numerous other summits, slightly awkward entry into the fields just west of the forest which don't appear ...
