Fancy a dangle in Dingle? Scavvie 3
jackal quod niger turba scensum a tumulosus iterum

On Saturday May 1st, I will be in Dingle doing a bit of walking. I'd like to extend an open invite any interested MV members to come along with me. The route will be Faha ridge, Brandon, Brandon North, Pierasmore, Masatiompan,Faill an tSais. Total distance is about 18 kms with 1300 mtrs of climbing. The ridge itself is a scramble and can be "airy" in places so bring your head for heights and I'll bring a rope just in case anyone feels nervous. Meeting at the Connor Pass carpark at 10 am. Drop a line to jackill@mountainviews.ie , if your fancy has been tickled.

Barranisky: Barniskea or Barniskey

Might be worth adding that Ballymoyle Hill might be more appropriate name for this height. Called that in Coillte records. Whilst Barranisky is spelt thus on OS six inch maps, note that Hall Nevil...

Westaston Hill: The top?

I think the highest point is likely about 175 metres in a WSW direction from the mast. I'm judging this from aerial photography and DTM which shows a rocky outcrop in a small forest clearing. DTM ...
